Occult as in ‘hidden’ but not a lot!

The Paralympics Opening Ceremony carried on in the same vein as the previous Olympic rituals with the usual ‘hidden in plain sight’ references . And not surprsingly, there were 33 days between the main Olympics Opening Ceremony and the Paralympics...
As anticipated there was a lot of Light. First we had the title of the ceremony, Enlightenment and also included was Handel’s Eternal Source of Light Divine . We also had Prospero telling Miranda to ‘Look to the Light’ and Seb Coe exhorting mankind to move to the Light, as if he was giving a pep talk at a Masonic lodge meeting .
But similarly to the main Olympics, the predominant theme was the birth of The Brave New World. And in this ritual, we had four birth references. Firstly, Stephen Hawking gave us a history lesson and the audience was shown a new Big Bang. Then we had Miranda telling us about ‘O Brave New World’ -“How beauteous mankind is ! O Brave New World, that has such people in’t!”- and if to reinforce the point a giant sign appeared saying ‘Brave New World’ .The third birth reference came with the Apple Crunch. This was a symbolic re-enactment of the ‘Fall of Man’ from Genesis.
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat and gave also unto her husband, and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened and they knew that they were naked . And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons.In effect, I see the Apple Crunch as an attempt in creating a new Genesis.
The final Birth allusion came with the appearance in the centre of the stage of the giant figure of the naked pregant Alison Lapper...
But, in reality this has nothing to do with Alison Lapper, and is another symbolic representation of the Goddess – see Isis Mother of the World – and the birth of the New Atlantis.We have one more ceremony to go with the Paralympics Closing Ceremony and I don’t know if it is possible to include many more births . I would like to think the ‘Brave New World’ will be sunshine and light for everyone but my guess is that the original book by Aldous Huxley is a blueprint .
